Shiftgig FlexPay is an optional benefit offered in partnership with DailyPay that allows you to access your Shiftgig payments** before payday.
How does it work?
Once enrolled in FlexPay, you build up an available balance in your Shiftgig FlexPay account with each shift you work. You can withdraw money from your available balance at any time for a small fee. To build your available balance:
- Shiftgig confirms your hours for each shift with the supervisor on that shift. Hours verification can take up to 72 hours.
- After hours verification, information about the estimated amount you earned is submitted to FlexPay.
- Your Shiftgig FlexPay available balance increases the business day after hours are confirmed.
Note: Because FlexPay isn't 100% sure of your earnings until payday, your balance will increase by a percentage (usually 50-80%) of the amount you earned on each shift. The difference will be made up on normal payday.
On your normal payday, you receive your full paycheck minus whatever you’ve already requested from Shiftgig FlexPay. Normal payday deposits are completely free.
The amount of time it takes for your available balance to increase for each shift can depend on when you work and whether the Client you work for is entering hours in their Shiftgig Business app.
Some shifts aren't eligible for early payments.
FlexPay relies on Client verification of hours worked. Because FlexPay needs hours information, backup and reporting pay stipends are never available as early payments. Additionally, if a Client doesn’t use their Shiftgig Business app to verify your hours, you may have to wait until regular pay day to receive funds for a given shift.
Most shift payments are available quickly.
When Clients use their Shiftgig Business app to confirm hours shortly after you work, your FlexPay balance can increase in just a couple days. This means you can access funds for certain shifts up to 9 days before payday. The example below demonstrates the fastest possible FlexPay timeline.
Certain shift payments may take longer to become available.
In certain cases, like when your hours aren’t verified for a few days or verification happens when payroll is closed on the weekend, it can take up to a week for FlexPay funds to become available. The example below demonstrates the longest FlexPay timeline. In cases where payments are available only a few days early, it may be best to wait until payday to retrieve your funds.
**Shiftgig FlexPay is only available to Specialists registered with Shiftgig Bullpen, Inc.
