Our Clients do their best to accurately estimate the number of Specialists they request from Shiftgig. Just like you may occasionally have to drop a shift with short notice, our Clients sometimes have to change or cancel shifts. Inclement weather, a change in event size, major updates to the event requirements, or other factors can cause a Client to cancel (or cancel and repost) a shift, reduce the number of Specialists they need for a shift, or change certain requirements. In the event of a cancellation or major event change, you may be dropped from a shift.
Because our Clients require reliable Specialists, a recent attendance violation or Client complaint can also impact your claimed shifts.
Being dropped from a shift does not impact your reliability score (unless you drop the shift yourself!). If you are dropped from a shift, you can only be added back to that shift if you re-claim it in your app. Do not go to a shift unless it appears in the "Upcoming" section of your app.
